Manganaro's

One of the Sterns' favorite food shops is Manganaro's on 9th Avenue between 37th and 38th Streets in New York City. The combined grocery store/take-out/sandwich shop has been around since 1893. Right next door is a separate place called Manganaro's Hero Boys that's run by a branch of the Manganaro family. The two factions have been feuding over who invented the 6-foot hero sandwich. The Sterns don't know if it will ever be resolved, but they think the hero sandwiches at both places are just great.
