Following on the success of her James Beard- and Julia Child award-winning first book The Splendid Table, host Lynne Rossetto Kasper has recently come out with her second cookbook, The Italian Country Table, featuring recipes and stories from the traditional Italian countryside. New York Times columnist and regular Splendid Table contributor Mark Bittman may have said it best: "I found more great ideas in the first 10 minutes I spent with The Italian Country Table than all the other cookbooks I've looked at all year." And, Sara Moulton, who has the daily Cooking Live show on TV's Food Network, just named The Italian Country Table one of the few cookbooks she recommends out of the thousands
in her library.
Links to some of Lynne's recipes from The Italian Country Table are provided below; try them out, and then let Lynne and other cooks know what you think in the Splendid Table Forum.
